Calypso belongs on the water. She grew from our Summer × Oakley pairing — equal parts curious and untamed, quick to adapt, quick to surprise. Where Holly moves with bold, planted confidence, Calypso is fluid and unpredictable. She likes to really jump — acrobatic, agile, swift. Warm with strangers, gentle with cats. On a board she moves like she was born that way. Summer and Oakley are retired, but Calypso carries forward their love of the ocean and unbridled spirit for adventure.

She grew from our Summer × Oakley pairing and stayed with us because she is equal parts curious and untamed — quick to adapt, quick to surprise, and completely at home wherever the tide takes her. Where Holly moves with bold, planted confidence, Calypso moves like the shore itself: fluid, unpredictable, and impossible to look away from. She can be cautious in one breath and fearless in the next. She has good instincts. Her energy is its own thing. Mostly high, never exhausting. She likes to jump and I mean really jump. She is apt to jump on a fence, balance on it and jump over the other side. She is very acrobatic and agile as well as swift. She is friendly with strangers, warm with other dogs, tuned to the energy people bring. Beneath all that wild spirit runs a surprising streak of gentleness with cats — an echo of her mom Summer, who always wanted to tend them. Water is where Calypso becomes fully herself. She swims, paddles, and moves on a board as if she was born that way. As a pup she has undergone extensive exposure to paddleboarding and swimming — she rode briefly at Lake Crescent, and rightfully jumped off into the water. Summer and Oakley have retired, and Calypso carries their water-first lineage forward. Her offspring should inherit that same readiness — a taste for the trail, an unbreakable bond with anything water, and the kind of curious heart that will make you wonder what adventure they will take you on next.
